Top of the Hill's Carli Rae
Miss Carli is the daughter of Sadie Rose, the mother of Myla May and Ranger Zeus, the Grandmother of Onna Lee and Zarah Rose and the great grandmother of Willow Grace. Carli had been declining in energy but still loved her daily walks and rolling in the morning dew. However, on October 6th,2022 it was her 3rd day of not being able to move unassisted. We had been using a towel to hold her weight and assist her to use the restroom. She was eating and drinking very little and next to none but seemed very content. This sad morning was very different. She no longer seemed content. There were signs of struggle. At the age of 16.5 we made the difficult decision to say goodbye. The hardest decision. Just like Sadie, she had a grand burial where we dedicated a new flowerbed to her. Every year as we harvest big hydrangea blooms we can think of her big heart to please. Carli was a perfect dog. She had zero bad habits or quirks. She understood social ques. She just wanted to please and be loved. Carli was very well loved and blessed us with many years of good health and memories. We are so thankful for all the puppies she raised to send to new homes to bless them the way she did us. Thank you Carli, we will always love and remember you.
Top of the Hill's Sadie Rose
We had to say goodbye to our sweet Sadie Rose on August 16th 2018, the very day before her great, great grand-puppies were born. She was a very proud and wise dog, so smart it was scary. She loved to please and loved people. She was the runt of her litter but had so much spirit and love that Katie, even having the pick of the litter and visiting the breeder on several occasions, knew she was the one! Sadie started the Top of the Hill Goldens, she is our legacy. We will never forget her smiling, happy, golden eyes. Her soul gleamed through them and could instantly fill our lives with joy. We spent an amazing 15.5 years with her (over half Katie's life!). We are so blessed by her life and thankful she was strong and healthy til her last breath where she peacefully passed in her sleep. It was so hard not getting to say goodbye. Thank you for all the wonderful memories sweet girl. Rest in peace. You will forever be in our hearts. She gave us 15.5 strong, healthy years of great memories. So thankful she went so strong and never had to suffer.
