Who We Are
We are hobby breeders who understand the blessing that dogs are in our lives. We are steadfast in our determination to breed happy, healthy Goldens. Our mission is to provide Golden Retrievers that are wonderful representatives of the breed, whether involved in sport or as a loved family pet. We raise Golden Retrievers because we love this breed and have a commitment to maintain it’s integrity for future generations.
Our Legacy
Top of the Hill Goldens is located right in the heart of the country in Nixa Missouri. Carrying on a legacy of five generations, providing some of the finest, healthiest, fun loving, and full of heart, AKC Golden Retrievers. This legacy of excellence is from our family to yours since 2004.
We love the privilege of having a few litters of Golden Retriever puppies a year. It is important to us that each puppy is matched with the correct family and vice versa. Adding a puppy to your family is a lifelong commitment and should be taken very seriously.
Our puppies are very loved; We interact and play with them every day. By the time they are ready to go home, they are well adapted to family life. All puppies will come with limited AKC registration, micro-chipped with AKC Reunite ISO microchips, current on all vaccinations, have a lifetime health guarantee against genetic diseases, a two year refund and replacement health guarantee, and are vet checked before heading to their new homes.
Our adult dogs are our beloved family members. They are involved in every part of our lives. The time we get with them from the day they are born to the day they pass is cherished and never long enough. We do not "retire" our adult dogs to other families, they are our family.
All our dogs who we use for breeding purposes have no known genetic diseases and show no signs of adverse hereditary conditions or congenital defects. Our dogs are tested and monitored to prevent hip and elbow dysplasia, cataracts, and sub-aortic stenosis. In addition, we have done genetic testing to identify carrier genes for the common golden diseases to ensure we do not breed two parents with similar carrier genes.
